During the Hope Lives series we challenge and encourage you to:

  • Intentionally use your Hope Lives Water Bottle (FREE) to drink tap water
  • Eat simply like most of the world during The 5 Day Meal Challenge.

We ask that you give all you save by eating more simply as well as anything above and beyond your tithe that you would like to offer to help alleviate poverty, hunger, and thirst in our world.  We will take up a special offering during the weekend services of February 27th - 28th for our Hope Lives Fund to pay for the 300,000 meals we will be packaging.  

To make a donation:

  •  
  • Place your gift in the offering at any weekend service
  • Bring your contribution when you pack meals for Feed My Starving Children
  • Bring your gift on February 27th or 28th when we take up the special offering.

Involving Your Kids

M&M Mini Tubes

Your children & students will be given the opportunity to take a free tube of M&M mini’s to share with their friends and then collect quarters to refill the tube. Each tube will hold $14 dollars worth of quarters and will feed 82 children through Feed My Starving Children. Encourage them and help them in this process. 
 
*remind them to bring the tubes back by the weekend of Feb 27-28
 
Family Share Time
 
The Bible is very clear that God loves all people and wants us to have personal involvement in helping those in need.
Discuss that value together as a family by looking at Matthew 25.  Below are some suggested steps to guide your conversation:
  • Before gathering, print Matthew 25:35 on a piece of paper.
  • Start your time with prayer. Thank God for your day and invite Him to speak to each of you as you read His word together
  • Read Mathew 25:34-40 together.
  • Explain that there are many places in our world where people do not have food or clean water
  • Show the Matthew 25:35 verse.
  • Ask the following questions:
    • What do you think this verse means?
    • Is helping others with food or clean water our responsibility? Why or why not?
    • What changes can we make as a family to help others with food and clean water?
  • Decide as a family how to apply this scripture to your lives and discuss next steps toward giving financially toward global hunger and thirst.
  • Pray for the hunger and thirst that exist in our world and ask God to help you apply this scripture in everyday life.
